Lockdown Love - 21-feb-2021 (Post Event thoughts)

Twenty-first February saw art in the form of online and offline fuse beautifully, though with some technical hurdles, at Octo Spaces in Banjara Hills.  It was our first offline event and with a Zoom call set in!

Here is a link to Nit pick before you read the post ahead.

The event started at 430 pm, with some hurdles with Zoom (we should be able to focus on that next time) and as time passed by and people settled in, the event got engaging. Poetry was read by several poets and writers around Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kerala, Tirupati and I think this is possible only because of the possibility of meeting online.

After the online readings by Christal, Harita, Juhi, Manjusri, Nam, Reshma, Salini, Sandra, Surela, Raghav, Usha, we moved to the offline readings read by Harshin, on behalf of the poets who insisted on others reading their piece (poems by Anonymous and Avinash), poem by Sudheendra and Nivedita.

I surmise that the online poets enjoyed among themselves as we saw them cheering for each other while the offline poets enjoyed amongst themselves. A fusion for relishing the works in a pronounced manner would be our next agenda :) !

Personally, I like the simplicity of the event as it ended with meet and greet and people spoke with each other and got comfortable in the ambience of the terrace of Octo Spaces, beneath the soft moonlight shrouded with clouds.

Thank you, everyone at Octo, my old friends, poets and new friends Dhimant and a book club member Mani, who came all the way to take pictures for us. Missed having many amongst us!
